Whether you’re someone who is always wondering how other people find these stylish second-hand bargains, or you want to shop in a more sustainable way, but always end up going down the main drag. This new range means you can be sure you are getting a trusted coin that has been fully verified. Best of all, you don’t have to worry about your vintage item falling apart or starting to show signs of woodworms once you get home!
After teaming up with the vintage and antique online market Interior, John Lewis & Partners has introduced an exclusive line of unique pieces.
The new capsule collection from John Lewis & Partners + Vinterior
âWe are delighted to announce the launch of our capsule collection with Vinterior and are delighted to offer customers a selection of unique pieces that they will not find anywhere else,â says Ashleigh Shering, Partner and Buyer at John Lewis. âThe products we have chosen reflect what our customers already love, including popular items, such as beverage carts and cabinets. “
The collection includes mid-century desks, sideboards, dining tables, beverage carts, and side chairs. Each of these unique pieces has been lovingly restored to the highest standards, having undergone a rigorous process and all repairs carried out.
This means that you will be able to shop for vintage on the main street and be sure that you are getting a quality second-hand part. Any necessary fills or painting are completed before the part arrives in store, before it is washed and finished with oil or wax and polished to a high gloss.
There is no doubt that this range is going to be popular, especially since over the past six months John Lewis has seen searches for “sustainable home” increase by 650%, with “vintage” up 77%. and âantiquesâ up 55%! The demand for pre-liked items it seems is increasing and luckily for us John Lewis is embracing this rising trend.
So, can you buy vintage in all of its stores, we hear you ask … Unfortunately, the answer is no, as the initial launch is limited to the Kingston branch. The first collection will include 10 pieces of furniture, but there are plans to expand later this year.
Definitely a good excuse to shop by the riverside in the meantime, we’d say, and with prices starting at £ 499, the pieces are likely to sell out quickly. In fact, one of the dining tables sold out within 24 hours of the collection launch, so who knows, maybe we’ll see the brand’s other stores get involved sooner rather than later.
