Explorer Discovers Abandoned Kentucky Mansion

An urban explorer has stumbled across an abandoned mansion with vintage clothes – worth an estimated $100,000 (£76,000) – and a grand piano left to rot inside.

Robb, a full-time videographer and avid treasurer, from Long Beach, New York, USA, couldn’t believe it when he found the house full of rare designer clothes.

He traveled to the mansion in Kentucky, USA, with another local explorer one weekend, posting a video on his YouTube channel RNK All Day, which has over 154,000 subscribers and over 24 million views .

In the footage, Robb walks into the reception room where two large red sofas have been left, alongside stacks of photographs, documents and books.

In what appears to be the old dining room, he finds chairs by a huge fireplace and other random items strewn across the floor, leading Robb to believe the property has been looted.

The urban explorer then stumbles upon a grand piano in the middle of the lobby, along with some old children’s toys and collectible baseball cards.

He then heads to the kitchen which has an old dumbwaiter, abandoned kitchen appliances and a 1980s style fridge.

The rooms are full of clothes and sneakers, with one room featuring a clothes rack full of what Robb considers vintage pieces.

Each upstairs room is filled with old stuff, other clothes, and a pair of Reebok baby trainers.

Leaving the top floor, Robb heads to the basement where he finds a huge tree trunk poking through the ceiling.

As he heads upstairs to finally leave the huge mansion, Robb says, “Probably missing jewelry, other things that are worth money, maybe electronics, but basically anything. ‘they left here was thrown all over the house – especially clothes, there were clothes scattered in every room.

“Such cool fireplaces, antiques, this place is beautiful and I can only imagine what it was like when it was brand new and the place was really thriving with a family living here and it was just a very happy place and pleasant to inhabit.”

Speaking to news agency Jam Press, he said: “It was very cool to go inside, to be able to check out all the old woodwork, fireplaces and whatever the previous owner left behind. behind him.

“It’s always kind of sad to be inside a place like this with stuff left behind because it makes you think about the situation the owners got into and leaving it like that. .

“The weirdest thing I’ve seen is all the seemingly perfect vintage clothes left behind.

“These were pretty rare or expensive designer pieces that were probably around $100,000.

“I like old clothes and thrift stores so I kind of knew what I was looking at and now that I think about it, it depends on what was in those piles, it could have cost a lot more of $100,000.”

It is not known why the mansion was left to rot, or who the previous owners were.
