American brand CB2 launched its first line of vintage furniture in collaboration with curator Charlie Ferrer, featuring rare mid-century European designs.

The CB2 x Ferrer The collection debuts in stores from March 14, 2019 with a selection of pieces from Italy, France, Germany and more.

“Charlie sought out the best dealers, shops and galleries in Europe to bring together vintage treasures rich in history and generally inaccessible to the everyday shopper,” said the CB2 website.

The variety of designs ranges from larger items like desks, dining tables and chairs to smaller household items like lamps. Prices range between $ 60 and $ 11,500 (£ 45 to £ 8,730).

Many were produced in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, in keeping with the mid-century aesthetic that remains popular in the United States and beyond.

The collection includes a wooden desk with a grid of triangular facets, designed by Guglielmo Ulrich, and a table with a glass top and large concrete legs by Giovanni Offredi.

Examples of seating offered include a chrome and leather lounge chair by Guido Faleschini, an upholstered Slipper chair by Joseph-Andre Motte for Steiner, and a bentwood design by Franco Albini.

Lighting options include triangular glass and metal table lamps and a tall model with a bulbous lucite shade.

Since the items are generally unique, the selections available in store will be different. After initial rollout in select stores, the CB2 x Ferrer will be available in all brands in the US and Canada until May 2019.

The CB2 line was created by the retailer Case and barrel to target a younger market, and the collaboration with Ferrer is his first foray into vintage furniture.
